As a toddler, Louise struggled to reach developmental milestones. She had poor balance, weak hands, weak core muscle strength and an awkward gait. Her language development was also delayed. When it came time for school, she tested into special education preschool. Her mother believed there was an explanation for Louise's symptoms.

Anthony Carter, 16, of Royal Oak had been playing football injury-free since sixth grade. This past August, that all changed for the junior lineman. During the Royal Oak Ravens preseason 3-way scrimmage, he experienced a concussion. He doesn’t really remember much about how or when it happened.
